Malaysia Records 32.2 Million International Visitor Arrivals in the First Nine Months of 2026

On 27 October, Malaysia’s Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister reported that the country recorded 32.2 million international visitor arrivals from January to September 2026, an increase of 2.4% compared with the same period last year. The government cited a planned RM935 million allocation for the ministry, including Visit Malaysia campaigns for 2026–2027, subject to the final Budget 2027 decision, while RM10 million was allocated for the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau to attract MICE events and international sporting competitions. Hotels, travel operators and destination-service providers can explore opportunities in visitor-demand forecasting, customer analytics and event planning.
